18 March 2008 - Coin Software Pty Ltd today launched a new, cost effective and tailored solution designed specifically to meet the needs of risk writers.
Following extensive feedback from risk writers throughout Australia, who were looking for a simplistic way to track, monitor and manage all of their client correspondence and data, Coin responded by creating new solution, Risk Lite.
Risk Lite meets these needs by allowing the writer to quickly identify a client's specific insurance requirements, matching them to product features and the best available premiums, through the use of comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research.
Darelle Jenkins, Coin Managing Director, said that feedback from risk writers has shown Coin that risk writers did not always require the full capabilities of the Coin Office solution. This prompted the development team to create a condensed and tailored package.
"Our Coin Office solution integrates all of the different modules used by the adviser and acts as a single point to access a whole host of client information stored in the system," Ms Jenkins said.
"However, feedback from risk writers was telling us that they often didn't need all of the features the Coin Office solution could offer, but instead needed a scaled back version that provided cost efficiencies and more simplistic functionality.
"We have responded to this by developing Risk Lite, which is tailored to their requirements, providing needs analysis tools to establish the level of cover needed, customised reporting, client information storage and integration with other modules in the suite, but without some of the additional applications more suited to a financial adviser."
The Risk Lite solution offers comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research for more than 100 Term, Trauma, Total and Permanent Disability and Income Protection products, to allow the adviser to select the most appropriate solution to meet the client's needs.
Along with this, it has tools to help the risk writer produce a Statement of Advice and time saving features such as the auto population of forms.
Coin has found that this package is ideally suited to smaller practices or teams of risk writers within larger practices that are keen to ensure their technology solutions are cost effective.
The system also provides deployment flexibility by offering the choice of either online access or offline access, or both, to allow risk writers to use the module remotely when visiting clients.
