11 August 2008 - Coin Software, one of the industry's leading financial planning software providers, has signed an agreement with Telstra Super Financial Planning, which is the sole financial planning provider to Australia's largest corporate super fund, Telstra Super.
Telstra Super Financial Planning's General Manager, Steve Grinter, said the decision to select Coin was made because of the time efficiencies the software could bring to the business.
"Our business has grown significantly over the past 6 years, requiring continual development and enhancement of our existing Statement of Advice document, in-house modeling tools and infrastructure. Coin will allow us to incorporate a number of individual facets and offer an all round solution for our Planners," Mr Grinter said.
Coin Managing Director, Darelle Jenkins said this agreement is testament to Coin's ability to help financial planners complete daily tasks, track ongoing activity and manage reporting through one simple-to-use solution.
"We are very pleased that Coin succeeded in becoming Telstra Super Financial Planning's preferred software provider and we are looking forward to working with their team of advisers on the implementation and training program," Ms Jenkins said.
"Whenever we approach an agreement like this our main priority is to develop a strong partnership with the institutional client, which is especially important during the implementation phase.
"Our team is known for producing tangible system efficiencies, which in this case will be achieved through Coin taking an integrated approach to Telstra Super's core business systems and focusing on their growth requirements."
Along with this latest signing, Coin was recognised in the Planning Software Benchmarking and Technology Report, developed by Investment Trends in December 2007.
Within the report, Coin Office was ranked number one against its peers for both "Best Plan Production" and "Best Modelling".
Alongside major institutional wins like this, which also include three out of four of Australia's major banks, Coin is also building up a strong client base at the smaller end of the scale, particularly among independent financial advisory firms and boutiques.
Coin's contract wins are indicative of the financial planning industry's strong focus on using technology solutions to improve customer service, administrative efficiencies and compliance procedures.
